PAT testing is optional, but if you plan to rent this tool out regularly, it is strongly recommended. You can either bring the tool to me for a £5 test, or I can drive to you for £10.
What it costs
PAT testing improves booking visibility and adds a “PAT Verified” badge to your tool.

Shows the test date, when the next test is due, and that it was done by a ToolPeer Approved Tester.
- No PAT
No PAT test provided. Renter should visually inspect before use.
- PAT Required
Shown on high‑risk tools until testing is completed. They stay hidden from search until then.

- Pressure washers
- Carpet cleaners
- SDS drills
- Angle grinders
- Chop saws
- Hedge trimmers
- Lawn scarifiers
- Heat guns / paint strippers
- Any Class I tool with a metal casing
