Privacy Notice

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted).
• Profile details: photo, short bio and the area or postcode you hire from.
• Listing details: tool descriptions, photos, prices, pickup instructions and PAT certificates.
• Booking activity: bookings, messages, reviews, checklists and payment totals.
• Technical data: basic device and usage information needed to keep the service running.

• To show listings, match renters with lenders and run bookings.
• To let you and the other party message each other about a hire.
• To calculate earnings, commission and consumables totals.
• To send booking, PAT and review notifications.
• To investigate safety reports, damage claims and disputes.

Data is held in our managed cloud database with access controls so that you can only see your own bookings, messages and earnings. Tool photos and PAT certificates are kept in private storage and shared only with the people involved in a hire. We keep data for as long as your account is open, plus a short period afterwards where the law requires it.

Go to your profile and choose to close your account, or email us. We will remove your profile, listings and photos. Booking records needed for tax or dispute purposes are kept in an anonymised form.

ToolPeer does not sell personal data, and does not share it with advertisers. We only share what is necessary with the service providers who host and run the platform.
